Persons who have been convicted of any felony or who have served a term of imprisonment in any penitentiary, state or federal, for the commission of a felony may not sit on a jury, unless they have been вЂњfully restored to his or her civil rightsвЂќ by pardon. In addition, a sitting member of the legislature who commits any of the offenses specified in 21 Okla. A person convicted of a felony is permanently disqualified from election to the state legislature. Ann.В В§ 4-120.4.ДЇelony offenders and persons convicted of a misdemeanor involving embezzlement are disqualified from office for 15 years after completion of sentence or until pardoned. Federal and out-of-state convictions are treated similarly. Individuals need only to re-register to vote. It appears that restoration is automatic upon expiration of the time to be served, and that individuals do not have to pay court fees or restitution to regain voting rights.
